Kalima’s life changed forever after receiving the results from her colonoscopy. She was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. She began her long process of recovery until learning that the cancer spread to her lungs. She under went another treatment of chemotherapy – she wouldn’t let cancer run her life. She would run it out of hers.
A positive attitude and motivated mindset has helped her endure the only way she knows. Running. Just one month after having lung surgery, she ran 3.34 miles on the most active day ever with Nike+ and her FuelBand. She’s a fighter. She’s a runner.
Greatness perseveres.
